SAT Workshops Offered at RCHS

Here is a fine opportunity for Rappahannock Junior Class students to better prepare for their upcoming SAT’s (Scholastic Aptitude Test) which will be given this May. The SAT Math classes will be held on six consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. which began on March 18. The SAT English (Verbal) classes will be held on six consecutive evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning on March 19.

The cost for each six series class is $30. Fee payment deadline is Monday, March 17. For further information please call Mr. Jim Futrell at 987-8616.

Shooting Matches Underway

The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company is having their annual shooting matches at 3 p.m. each Saturday. Rules are 12 gauge shotguns only, no sleeves or scopes. For more information call 937-4110.

Easter Goodies Available

Benefit Bingo Planned

There will be a bingo game on March 21 and March 28 at 7:30 at Pine Knot Inn. Proceeds will benefit the Odd Fellow Cemetery Committee.

Loan Group To Meet

The Rappahannock Convalescent Loan will have a meeting Thursday, March 20 at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock Library community room. Plans will be discussed for the July 4th annual fundraiser. All members and any interested persons are urged to attend.

Special Education Workshop Set

A fun workshop with focus on the special education process and procedure will be sponsored by the Rappahannock-Rapidan Earl Intervention Interagency Coordinating Council on March 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Registration is free and workshop materials are also free. Location: RRCSB-PIE Conference Room, 700 Southridge Parkway, Culpeper.
