Beekeepers To Meet The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its March meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 20 at the Old Courthouse building, Board of Supervisor’s room, entrance on Cameron Street. Please note temporary change of meeting place. The program will be: Spring management, Swarm Prevention, with emphasis on management for new beekeepers. Fruit Has Arrived • The Rappahannock Band Boosters fruit has arrived and may be picked up on March 21 and March 22 at the Rappahannock Coop. There will be extra fruit available if anyone is interested.
Parenting a Teenager Course Set Free training entitled “Effective Parenting of Teenagers” will be held for six sessions beginning on March 20 at the Rappahannock Extension Office. Each meeting will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public. For more information and to register, call Valerie at 675-3313.
Benefits Cancelled The Easter benefits scheduled at Flint Hill Fire Department for Saturday, March 29 have been cancelled and will be held at a later date.
WVFD Breakfast Buffet, Egg Hunt You and your family are invited to enjoy a warm, hearty breakfast to benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids at 11 a.m. With a donation of $7 for adults/$3 for children you will be served your choice of made-to-order eggs or omelettes, pancakes, homefries, grits, biscuits, sausage gravy, homemade applesauce, bacon, juice, coffee and tea. An egg-coloring table will be set up during the breakfast for children of all ages. Please join us on Saturday, March 29 from 7:30 to 11 a.m. for breakfast and 11 for the Easter Egg Hunt at the Washington Fire Hall.
