Mrs. Pierce remarked that the county is allowed under that law to enact more restrictive clauses.
Col. Luke said, “You might get around it but you’re open for suit and I think somebody’s going to come in and take the county to court and you won’t have a leg to stand on.”
He said he felt the restrictions would make site planning too expensive for many people and to those who can afford it it wouldn’t be a problem.
John Clark of Washington then addressed the Commission. “I think this (issue) is important enough for me to show up. I can see this one (propos- - al) coming out of D.C. but I really didn’t expect it to come from Rappahannock County,” he said.
