Belle Meade Day Camp on Route 231 in Sperry ville opens for the fourth summer on June 16. Camp directors Mike Biniek and Susan Hoffman are pleased that their entire staff from last summer will be returning.
Mike Dunnigan will be assistant camp director for the second summer. He teaches sports, games, and arts and crafts. His story telling is well liked by all ages.
Lynne Barfield will be back as a counselor as for the third summer. She enjoys all activities and encourages all the campers to participate with zest and pleasure.
Jesse Rogers returns for his fourth camp season. Jesse combines athletic ability and artistic talent.
The camp is an active outdoor program for boys and girls ages 6-13 on 137 acres in the F.T. Valley. The farm has streams, meadows, forests, and mountains. Swimming is an important part of the daily program. Campers receive swimming instruction and enjoy water games in the camp pool. Swimming skills and endurance are emphasized.
Excursions to nearby rivers and mountains are frequent activities. Hiking part way up the trail at Old Rag, having a picnic on a rock table,
