approved. The Finance Committee reported on the Gordon Estate funds. There was some discussion on the gift to the library by the Gordon Estate. County Administrator John McCarthy said the issue will not be resolved quickly.
The funds are part of Roland Limited Partnership which is a limited Real Estate partnership and the library would have to enter into the partnership to get the funds. The county attorney is reviewing the situation to see if it is wise to do so. The board is hesitant due to the possibility of liability they may be exposed to. If the amount is question is worth the time and trouble they will probably enter into the partnership.
Mr. McCarthy said it looks like the amount is in excess of $2,000. But, he said, Rappahannock Library is third on the table behind Harvard University and the University of Virginia.
