Cathy and Carrington Smith have been enjoying a variety of wildlife on their Holly Springs Farm. Thirteen Canadian goslings were hatched on the island pond. They’ve seen turkey, a bald eagle and the rare Indigo Bunting (a fluorescent blue bird). Neighbor John Victor has taken photos of a bear cub.
Carrington Smith is entering Fairfax Hospital May 29 for back surgery from a ruptured disk and spur.
The Smithy attended a celebration on Sunday, May 18 of the marriage of John Johnson’s daughter Tammy to Army Captain Bill Johnson.
They are set to go to Germany for his next duty tour. The Smiths enjoyed visiting with many old friends with whom they grew up with in Centreville.
