How can nutrition provide you with a “good” life you may ask? Nutrition is one of the lifestyle factors that plays an important role in the quality of our life as we grow. It is important for infants growing into childhood and middle aged adults growing into older adulthood.
Nutrition is important for every growth stage in between too. It can help us feel better, may help prevent some diseases, give us energy and help our body grow and repairs tissue. We may prevent or delay the onset of chronic diseases such as certain types of cancer or heart disease by choosing foods wisely.
Choosing food wisely involves making many decisions each day. Think about your nutritional intake, better known as diet, in the context of two or three days, especially if you have not had a “regular” meal schedule.
Under stress some people may develop poor eating behaviors. Two of these, overeating and eating between meals result in weight gain and are common responses to stress.
