Fauquier Hospital recently welcomed three new members to its Board of Trustees. John W. McCarthy III, county administrator for Rappahannock, was one of the three. Caren M. Eastham and George S. Robinson, both of Fauquier, were the other two.

Since 1988, McCarthy has served as county administrator and zoning administrator for Rappahannock. During his tenure he has supervised such large-scale projects as construction of a new county landfill, public library and jail addition.

McCarthy received his bachelor’s degree from Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg and his master’s degree from the University
