Edith Mae Woodward Foster Cave, 83, of Front Royal, died Monday, April 6 in the Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
Mrs. Cave was born on March 22, 1915 in Madison County, the daughter of the late George Washington and Bessie Ada Jenkins Woodward.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Donald Cave of Front Royal, formerly of Washington; four sons Aubrey J. Foster of Baltimore, Md., William F. Foster of Flint Hill, Jimmy D. Foster of Huntly and Donald Pete Cave of Washington; five daughters Dollie Stringfellow of Culpeper, Virgie Marie Martin of Bel Air, Md., Juanita Alther of Rixeyville, Darlene Duncan of Richmond and Wilma Darnell of Jeffersonton; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren plus a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cave was predeceased by a daughter Ella Mae Taylor; three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Cave loved flowers, country music and hymns.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, April 9 at the Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating. Interment was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Stephen Foster, Todd Foster, James Stringfellow, Troy Foster, Donnie Duncan, Tony Alther, Rascom Darnell Jr. and Timothy Stringfellow.
