process. She had been polishing the snowy owl for four days when she spoke about getting ready for the upcoming show.
Growing up, Morris loved animals and thought she would become a veterinarian, biologist or oceanographer, but her talent as an artist became apparent when she was an adolescent. Now she is living her dream of being an artist working in her own studio. “Art sets you free. You feel free good, unstoppable, alive,” she said. She sculpts mainly animals which she has felt a connection with all her life. “Beautiful‘Snimals exist and! want people to recognize that,” she said.
Morris grew up in Alexandria and Hawaii and she had the benefit of traveling to the countries where her father worked as a United Nations architect. He designed over 50 airports around the world and she traveled with him to such countries as Greece, Egypt, Malaysia, and Brazil. Visiting museums and galleries developed her knowledge of art.
