PDRC will train volunteer conference facilitators to lead the conferences in which young offenders take responsibility for what they did, hear from those who have been affected, and, in combination with the victim, decide how to repair the harm caused by their actions. Beginning this Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18 from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. volunteers will complete 20 hours of resolve training. If you are interested in being a facilitator, contact Accountability Conferencing Project Coordinator at PDRC at 347*6650. Your help is needed.
Once again, the Amissville United Methodist Church women put on an “egg-citing” Easter Egg Hunt for our community’s children. The weather was perfect for kids to run over the church’s grounds, leaving no stone unturned searching for dyed and plastic eggs. Our thanks to all those who organized and carried out the program, decorated eggs, and donated refreshments. This was wholesome, hometown, family fun at its best!
