The school board will hold a special meeting April 28 at 7:30 p.m. in the RCES library to review the applications by interested candidates and appoint the interim replacement.
The term of the interim position extends until the seating of an elected board member after a special election which will be held Nov. 3. The person elected will then serve until Dec. 31, 1999, after which the person elected in the November 1999 election will begin to serve a four-year term.
