Virginia’s trout fishing season opens at noon this Saturday, April 5. About 5000 trout have been stocked in Rappahannock County streams. Fish averaging 11 to 12 inches and up to 15 or 16 inches have been stocked in the North Fork Thornton, Piney Branch, the Rush and Hughes River^ Most of these are Rainbows with about a third of the total being Brooks. They were all stocked before last weeks rain and should be well scattered. Of the many yourrg couples who will be getting married this year in Rappahannock County, what percentage of them will live to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary? The answer, based upon recent national studies, is - more than a third of them. The assumption that goes with it, of course, is that no divorce or annulment intervenes along the way. In that event, all bets are off. Mrs. Vivian Gatewood and Mrs. Lois Johnson, both of Washington were enrolled in the furniture repair and refinishing classes held for 10 weeks at the local high school vo-ag shop.
