Each year the Boy Scout Troops in Rappahannock spend one Saturday picking up trash on the banks of the trout streams and the roads leading to them. T^ese youngsters deserve much cretfit for this endeavor and deserve the cooperation of all of us as citizens, whether residents or visitors, in keeping the county clean. Lunch was provided for the scouts by the Rappahannock Jaycees. Jimmie Dale Jenkins of Washington has been named to the Dean’s List at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg each quarter of this school year. He is a junior at Tech majoring in civil engineering, and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Jenkins of Washington. There will be a free chick day at the Rappahannock Coop on Friday only. Twenty-five baby chicks will be given away free with purchase of 25 pounds or more of starter ration.
