formance showcased the life of Miss Anderson who was the first AfricanAmerican singer to perform classical music in the early to mid 1900’s. This was a wonderful opportunity for our students, and we are grateful to Mrs. Joy Rollins for arranging it. Mrs. Rollins is the music teacher at RCES.
• The spring session of CASE ( Community After School Enrichment) will be starting on April 19. Applications will be available on March 29 in the RCES office for children who do not attend RCES. The program is open to all community students., home schoolers and private schoolers as well as those attending public school. The children are selected for the classes through a random! drawing. • Public schools will be closed on Friday, April 2 and Monday, April 5 for spring break.
• Please remember to call and make an appointment to register your child for kindergarten on April 13-15 at RCES. Slots are filling up quickly, so please try to call as soon as possible, 987-8259.
• The RCES Book Fair is scheduled for April 13-19 in the RCES Library. The community is invited to take part in this fun and worthwhile event. The fair provides funds to purchase more books for the school library. The selection of books is always wonderful and there are books priced to fit every budget!
