She discovered that the Quick Books Pro 4.0 software the town used was not Y2K compliant, and would like to upgrade the software and acquire a PC with professional software that was Y2K compliant.
In talking to a computer company, she discovered that the town had actually purchased the computer over three years for $3700, with the last payment due in May.
The company was actually a financing company and told her that the only option the town had was to purchase another computer.
