On March 16 at about 4 a.m., two 16-year-olds from the Boston area were injured when their 1989 F >rd crashed on Route 669 near Amissville.
According to the Virginia State Police report, the young driver came around a curve, lost control of the vehicle and overturned.
The driver was charged with reckless driving, and his vehicle received $6000 in damage. The accident was investigated by Trooper Wayne Sumner.
A two-car collision on Route 211 in front of the Rappahannock High School on the afternoon of March 17 resulted in injuries to a 16year-old student in one car, and the driver and passenger in another.
The juvenile, driving a 1987 Chevrolet van, pulled out of a median crossover in front of a 1996 Nissan driven by Thomas Marrow, 21, of King’s Mountain, N.C.
Marrow’s car struck the van, ran off the road and through a fence, suffering $8000 in damage.
The van received $4000 in damage, and the young driverwas charged with reckless driving, according to a report filed by Trooper Gary Settle.
An accident on the morning of March 20 on Route 231 near Sperryville resulted in minor injuries to a 17-year-old Washington, Va. girl.
Lauren Sharp was driving a 1988 Renault on Route 231 near the intersection with Route 621 when Carl Romney, 74, of Sperryville, in a 1996 Subaru, pulled into her lane.
Sharp ran off the right side of the road, suffering minor injuries and $500 damage to her car.
Romney was charged with failure to yield right-of-way by Trooper Charles Moore of the Virginia State Police.
Romney’s car was not damaged.
