It’s official - Hackley’s Store reopened this past week with owner Brad Nicholas at the cash register. After months of preparation and remodeling, he unlocked the door to welcome in the curious, the needy, and the well-wishers.
The new hours for Hackley’s will be Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Drop in to see the enlarged deli or buy a cone of hand-dipped ice cream. Thank you for continuing a tradition, Brad.
Another of our local businesses, Mayhugh’s Store, has experienced a new face lift and enlarged their gas pump area over the past few years. They are open seven days a week from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m., Monday through Friday; 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and on Sunday from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
With Hackley’s, Mayhugh’s and the Q-Stop chain, Amissville residents don’t have to travel far to purchase last minute items!
I received a wonderful note from the Joseph family (Joel, Michelle, Benjamin, and Alisha) who asked that I pass along their farewells and thanks to everyone in the Amissville area for being such a great community of friends and neighbors.
