Preparation and planning for the first, annual Rappahannock Relay-for-Life are well under way. Twentyfive or so enthusiastic volunteers met Monday evening at the Flint Hill Fire Hall to continue planning for the event, which will be held on the Rappahannock Elementary School grounds, beginning on Friday evening, May 21 and continuing through the following Saturday morning.

The Relay is the culmination of the annual fund raising drive of the local chapter of the American Cancer Society. It honors those who have died of cancer and celebrates those who have survived cancer. It
