Healthy Families
Dr. John Burns of the Department of Health returned to the Board to again request $15,000 in funding for the Healthy Families program. Dr. Burns introduced the Healthy Families program to the Board of Supervisors at their April meeting and, at that time, said that there was a good possibility that he could Find grant monies to initiate the program. He noted at Monday’s work session that one grant'request was unsuccessful but that two opportunities remained, and that he wanted the Board to fund the program as a backup measure.
