Rappahannock may be a small county, but we were well represented at the 10th Congressional District Convention held on Saturday, May 20 at the Centreville High School. The seven-member Delegation from Rappahannock were Ray Brown, Kate Gagnon, Meredith Gorfein, Bill Kossler, Kent Reeve, Bill Tieckelmann, and Bob Weinberg. Four of the Delegation played prominent roles.
Bob Weinberg, Kent Reeve, Kate Gagnon, and Bill Tieckelmann were speakers as well as behind-the-scenes workers. Bob Weinberg, Chair of the Resolutions Committee for the 10th District presented the resolutions filed by all the counties in the 10th and led the discussion and votes on those resolutions. All of the six resolutions adopted by the Rappahannock Democratic Caucus on April 17 were passed by the Convention and will be heard at the State Convention in Norfolk. Bob Weinberg was also chosen to be the Democratic Elector from the 10th District.
