nere was one disappointment. Many people had asked to visit the bilingual school that was being dedicated to the memory of the Hump Airlift, but this was not possible. One or more government agency had not yet fully approved the project. However, tour participants made several more donations to the Hump School, and the financial goal has been met.
One Humpster’s son is seriously planning to volunteer as the first English teacher for this project. He is to make a visit to the school where he had the opportunity to talk to students and teachers. Later he reported to the group his findings, and how he thought this to be an excellent project.
The group plans to meet again for a reunion Sept. 5-10 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
