Board will help EDJJ identify issues and concerns about youth with disabilities in the juvenile system.
Ms. Willard has been a actively involved in organizations serving children and youth with disabilities for more than 15 years. She currently serves on the Board of the Virginia CURE (Citizens United for the Rehabilitation of Errants, Inc.) which advocates for positive criminal justice polices as a way of reducing crime and Ms Willard serves as an advocate for children and youth with disabilities enrolled in various programs.
She also served as a parent representative to the State Management Team of the VA Comprehensive Services Act; parent representative and chair of the Culpeper Community Policy Management Team, Board Member, Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board; and Board Member of the VA Parent Educational Advocacy Training.
Ms. Willard has served with numerous other initiatives and recently received certification as a general mediator. Besides her duties as the Coordinator of the early intervention council, Ms. Willard is assisting the Rappahannock County Department of Social Services in the training of foster parents as well as assisting the department in recruitment and of potential foster parents.
