The Leesburg Police Department Is in the process of establishing an eligibility list for entry-level law enforcement officer positions. Minimum requirements: graduation from high school (or GED); degree in criminal justice desirable, or any equivalent combination of accepted education and experience that would provide knowledge of modern police practices and methods. A Virginia Law Enforcement Certification desirable. Must be in good physical condition and possess a valid Virginia driver’s license. Benefits include: paid life, health, dental and long-term disability insurance and paid retirement. The process will begin in July 2000.
