John Wiese
Hometown: Viewtown Occupation: Insurance Agent Accomplishments: John Wiese, his wife Margaret and their three sons, Michael, Matthew and • Jason moved to Rappahannock four years ago. Mr. Wiese bought the Viewtown Store in 1992 and had operated it off and on until 1998. Now he and his family live above the store. The store recently reopened on Saturday nights to host “Youth Alive” and Mr. Wiese is back behind the counter cooking pizzas and making subs. If you can’t find him at home, he’s usually at the ball field. Mr. Wiese has coached baseball in Amissville for three season. He now coaches sons, Matthew and Jason on the Major League Pirates. When not coaching, he’s often found flipping burgers at the concession stand. He admits to having more skill at burgers than at baseball. Mr. Wiese is president of the Rappahannock Band Boosters and is a member of the Amissville United Methodist Church. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and works as an insurance agent with Battlefield Insurance in Manassas.
