Authors of several Civil War books, ranging from a study of General Robert E. Lee s strategy to a novel about a murder at wartime Manassas, will attend Sperryville Civil War Days to discuss their works.
The second annual event in Sperryville will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4, and will feature Civil War music, re-enactors and other events in addition to the author appearances. Headquarters for the event is the Old Sperryville Bookshop on Main Street in the historic Village.
Two authors who focused their work on Lee, who commanded the Confederate army in Virginia, will speak and sign their books on Saturday, June 3.
