Raw Foods workshop planned

There will be a Raw Foods workshop at the Rappahannock Healing Arts Center on June 10-11. The workshop will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. “Come, enjoy a weekend of hands on preparation of raw organic foods. We will be having an incredible feast for the closing of the class. Leave with a new understanding of - we are what we eat,” said an organizer. The class will be limited to 12 people. Registration deadline is June 2. Bawkey family reunion set

A Bawkey family reunion for the relatives of the late William Claude Bawkey and Fannie Cobb Bawkey will be held Sunday, May 28 at the Rappahannock Park on U.S. 211 near Washington starting at noon. All family members and friends are invited to attend are asked to bring a covered dish.

Scholarship applications accepted

The Wayland Blue Ridge Ministers and Deacons Union Scholarship Committee is now accepting applications from 2000 high school graduates who plan to further their education.
