• Wakefield Country Day School will hold its Prep School Graduation and Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 28. This year’s commencement speaker will be Dr. Steven L. Monfort, Associate Professor at George Mason University and Research Veterinarian at the Conservation and Research Center, National Zoological Park, Smithsonian Institution in Front Royal.
The WCDS Lower School Closing Exercises and Awards Ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 26.
• The Rappahannock Lions Club recently presented the 2000 Bland Music Competition at The Theatre at Washington. Students at Wakefield Country Day School were awarded top prizes in the Junior Division of the competition.
