The J.V. Girls Softball Team traveled to Madison last Tuesday. This game would determine who would win the Bull Run District regular season. Going into this game both teams had a 10-1 record.
Rapp took the early lead 20 in the second, and added one more in the third. Madison would answer right back in the third to also score three. Brittany Thornhill was on the mound for the Panthers, she pitched a solid four innings, striking out five and walking four.
Madison took the lead in the fourth and were up 6-3. In the fifth, the Panthers scored two more to pull within one.
Lara Kreyling came on in the fifth, she struck out seven and walked four for the remainder of the game.
Both teams were tied at six apiece at the end of the seventh. The Panthers added one more in the top of the eighth. Madison would get the last at bat, Lara Kreyling struck out the first two batters, but would walk the next three. The bases were loaded with two outs and the Madison player had a 3-2 count.
