Col. David E. Bolte, Retired, a Korean War veteran, was the speaker who gave an overall history of the conflict using maps and pictures. He announced that Congress has authorized that the Commemoration to honor the Korean War Veterans and their families begin June 25, 2000, the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of the war and officially close Nov. 11, 2003.
Guests who were also Korean War Veterans plus other war veterans were introduced to the assemblage by the Chapter Regent, Mrs. George W. Bryson.
