Youth Alive!
Exciting news for youth, ages 10-18 of the Culpeper and Rappahannock areas. Come join us at Youth Alive of Amissville, an exciting new youth ministry with contemporary Christian music and awesome Bible teaching. Youth Alive meets at the Viewtown Store on Saturdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Subs, pizza, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase following the meeting. Page derby set, applications accepted
Applications are being accepted for the demolition derby to be held Friday, Aug. 25 during the Page Valley Fair. Drivers must be 21 years of age. Cars may include any American made stock, hardtop automobile or station wagon. No oversize vehicles or trucks are allowed. Official entry blanks are available at your local auto parts store or by calling 743-4949. Registration is limited to the first 60 applications and yours will be acknowledged by return mail.
Gazebo gathering planned
The Blue Ridge Arts Council’s Friday gazebo gathering for July 7 will feature the talents of native Hawaiian musicians and dancers. The gazebo is located in downtown Front Royal on the Village Commons. This summer concert series is presented by Blue Ridge Arts Council with sponsorship by the Town of Front Royal and The Virginia Commission for the Arts. Career Resource Center open
The Rappahannock Career Resource Center is now open. It will provide assistance to citizens in searching for job opportunities and in preparing job applications.
The office is located in the basement level of the Rappahannock County Library. The current hours of operation are Monday 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursday 1 to 5 p.m. The phone is 675-2631.
