i OUT-OF-THE-ATTIC: The residence that now stands on the comer of Jett and J Main Street has had varied and colorful uses over the years, having been a barroom, drugstore and bank on its former location across from the Courthouse on Gay Street. It was moved to the present site in the early 1900’s and was a post office until the 1950’s. Mrs. T.C. Lea purchased the building several years before i that and made major renovations. Today Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Leggett own it!
