Dwyer family reunion set

The 10th annual Dwyer family reunion will be held on Saturday, July 15 at the Washington fire hall. Beginning at 10 a.m. running until 5 p.m., all attending are asked to bring a dish and/or drink to share.

Physicals scheduled

Sport physicals will be given at Rappahannock Medical Center on Wednesday, July 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Forms may be picked up at the Medical Center or from the Rappahannock School Board Office. For additional information or anyone with questions should call 987-8773.

Flint Hill carnival dates set

The Flint Hill firemen’s carnival will be held Wednesday, July 26 through Saturday, July 29. Wednesday night is family night and you can ride the rides all night until closing for one low price of $8. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights offer Wayne Blosser’s famous chicken barbecue dinner and rides are $10 for all night.

The firemen’s grand parade is Friday, July 28 at 6:45 p.m. and features the newly crowned Miss Virginia 2000, for her first public appearance. Saturday night is crowning of the queens and drawing of the raffle tickets. Again this year a pure bred black Angus heifer donated by Admiral Gardiner and cash prizes totaling $3500 will be awarded. Bingo will be held every night. Come and enjoy the rides, games, concessions, food and shows.

Services Board to meet

The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 11 at 1 p.m. at 15361 Bradford Road.
