Over 3,200 top technology education students from around the nation attended the 22nd annual National Technology Student Association (TSA) conference in Atlanta, Ga. June 21-25.
“The National Conference is the highlight of the school year for students enrolled in technology education courses, providing students the unique opportunity to compete on the national level in more than 30 competitive events,” said TSA chapter adviser, Mr. Ron Vickers, who teaches a variety of technology classes at Rappahannock County High School.
This year Jeremy Graves, Justin Clarambeau and Ian Blubaugh represented RCHS in several team events including Technology Bowl, Problem Solving and Structural Engineering.
Graves also entered the manufacturing prototype contest.
Blubaugh competed in the Extemporaneous Speech event and was a finalist from over 100 contestants.
On the last day of the conference, during the awards ceremony, Blubaugh received his finalists pin and later learned that he placed fourth in the nation in this event.
