She is also survived by a brother, Charles Wood Saunders of Culpeper; a sister, Gertrude Saunders Smith of West Nyack, N.Y. and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was predeceased by a sister, Jessie Catherine Saunders and three brothers, Virginius Lee Saunders Jr., Richard Ashby Saunders and Carter Almond Saunders.
Graveside services were held Thursday, June 29 at Culpeper Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Alan Hooker officiating.
