That first group of Starfish mentors graduated in the 2000 class. You should know who they are. They have made mentoring history at RCHS and are role models for many others in the future. All of them earned the Governor’s Seal (23 credits with a 3.0 or better GPA) and ten were members of the National Honor Society. They were not selected as mentors for scholarship alone. Each one volunteered to take the special training to become Starfish mentors. Perhaps the quality : of these young people also made them want to be good students, their names are: Allison Baker, Austin Bouffard, Meghan Fairbrother, Marshall Gangel, Alice Gentry, Jami Gillis, Crystal Grigsby, Rebecca Metcalfe, Sandra Oliver, Frank Paratore, Jennifer Thomas and Beth Yowell.
