American youngsters have participated in the wide variety of programs offered under its aegis.

It has fostered leadership and taught responsibility and nurtured self-confidence in several generations of American youth. Though it is often thought of as a rural program, there are 4-H clubs active in many U.S. cities as well.

And all those youth, whether from country hamlets or city highrises, have benefited from their experiences in 4-H. The testimonials offered by some of the ; Rappahannock County youngsters now involved in 4H tell the story better than we can.

We can only add that we wish the 4-H program many more years of continued success and offer our thanks to the adults leaders and Extension agents whose efforts have made that success possible.
