ings. The following clubs meet once a month and are open to anyone between the ages of nine and 19. You are invited to join throughout the year. Please call the Extension Office at 675-3619 for more information. • A new 4-H Junior Club will meet after school on Oct. 19. The focus of this club will be back to basics, learning a little bit about farming in Rappahannock County, and making items to put in the local Farm Fair next summer. The volunteer leader of this club is Bill Welch.
• A 4-H Poultry Club will be organized under the adult leadership of Becky Thorpe. This club will meet once a month and will prepare children for showing their poultry in the local Farm Fair.
• Another exciting new 4H club will be forming in the village of Flint Hill. This club will focus on 4-H project interests of the club's choosing. Teen 4-H members will handle the leadership of this club with adult volunteer leader, Shannon Swain. This club will meet on Oct. 17, 7 p.m., at the Flint Hill Fire Hall.
• The 4-H Dairy Goat Project Club is entering its second year under the volunteer leadership of Sue Garvin. They will have goats at the Llama Ranch during the Amissville Fall Festival on Oct. 14 and will meet on Oct. 23, 7 p.m., at the Extension Office.
• The 4-H Cooking and Crafts Club meets the first Wednesday of the month. Vickie Miller, Volunteer Leader.
• The 4-H Dog Club meets once a month under the volunteer leadership of Elizabeth Johns and Lisa Reid.
• The 4-H Electricity Project Club is in need of an adult volunteer leader! Please call the extension office if you can help. This club usually meets once a month.
• The 4-H Woodworking Club meets “monthly with Shannon Swain, Volunteer Leader.
• The 4-H Entomology Club meets the second Wednesday of the month.
