Administration under Presidents Nixon and Ford. He was a trusted adviser to four presidents and numerous corporations on issues of energy, the environment, and the protection of natural resources. Mr. Sawhill wrote books and articles on energy use and conservation, and most recently he taught about non-profit institutions at the Harvard Business School.

Both Mr. Sawhill and his wife, Isabel, took a interest in Headwaters and their advice on management, fund raising and youth issues were valuable aids to this developing foundation. '
