coaching staff decided to take all the eighth grade girls from this year's JV team and form the Junior Lady Panthers team. Members of the team are: Rachel Gall, Kelsey Hutcheson, Anna Kreyling, Sarah Mills, Mattie Nawrocki, Danielle North and Lauren Powell. An abbreviated schedule has been pulled together that includes several middle schools (see related box)
The Junior Lady Panthers played their first game Friday night, Sept. 29 at Cedar Lee Middle School Fauquier County. The girls lost 43-5. "I intend to resurrect the Junior Panthers for the boys this year as well," said the Athletic Director. "I know there are funding, scheduling, facility and coaching obstacles to overcome to do all this, but I believe we have to find a way or make a way."
