Lindsey Burger, 2000 RCHS graduate, "I have been actively involved with the 4-H program in Rappahannock County since I moved here in 1992. I attended many camps and was an active member in clubs as well. I held many dif-. ferent leadership positions including President of the' Junior Garden Club and the;-* Horse and Pony Club. I feel that all of this experience helped me greatly when it came to applying for college.
My current school, Virginia <Tech, actually asks you on the , application about any involve- ' ment in the 4-H program. I - think that being an active member in 4-H also helped me to not only be eligible for, but also to receive, more scholar-. ships at the end of my senior year. I feel that in the long run, 4-H will be something that I will carry with me,. always. I know that I will be able to take my experiences and apply them to real life - issues in the future."
