The Rappahannock County 4-H Program is filled with fun learning experiences throughout the year. In 4-H, we cover everything from cows to cooking. There is always a need for more adult volunteers; we wouldn't have a 4-H program without them. „ The Electricity and Cloverbud Clubs are in need of volunteer leadership. If you are an adult who would be interested in helping with 4-H a couple hours a month, please contact the Extension Office. We need a few good people!
The Rappahannock County 4-H summer was incredible! Eleven delegates attended 4-H State Congress, and David Massie was tapped in as an All Star! We had nearly 90 campers, 26 teens, and a number of adults participate in the Rappahannock County 4-H Day Camp! Many thanks to the Rappahannock County Lions' Club for their donation of a tent. It really helped to keep the hot sun off the campers.
The summer continued with Rappahannock County Farm Fair exhibitors winning Grand Champion placings across the board in livestock and dairy goat competitions. Also, in the Home Economics Building, Rappahannock exhibitors took home Best of Show placings, not to mention many blue ribbons. Thirty campers attended 4-H Junior
