Mrs. P. Lee Thornton is commuting daily to Warrenton where she is serving on a temporary appointment as public health nurse in Fauquier County. Mrs. Thornton, the former Miss Frances Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rhodes Brown, graduated from University of Virginia School of Nursing in 1942. Plans for the opening of the office for the Public Health Nurse in Rappahannock County are now set for Jan. 1, 1951 but the plans are not definite at this time. Three Rappahannock 4-H boys, Jacob Sisk, Archie Bailey Jr. and Nelson Atkins Jr. entered seven hogs at the Atlantic Rural Exposition and won seven ribbons. Competition was open to any 4-H club of F.F.A. members in the United States. Interesting newcomers to Rappahannock «'■ County are Mr. and Mrs. Leon T. * Greenaway, who recently purchased , the Silas Bruce farm on Lee Highway between Sperryville and Washington. The sale was made through S.E. Hening, broker of Sperryville.
