He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Earl W. Loebs and maternal grandfather, George T. Crowder.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Sept. 29 at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. H. Vernon DeLong officiating.
Interment followed in Amissville Baptist Church Cemetery.
James Laing

James "Shorty" Wilbur Laing, 72, of Front Royal died Monday, Sept. 25 at Warren Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Laing was bom on Dec. 3, 1927 in Rappahannock County to the late Mammie Rutherford and Charles Grandville Laing.
Mr. Laing was a retired plumber with over 30 plus years for S.W. Brooks.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Lockamy Laing; six sons, Gary Lynn Laing of Georgia, Dennis Deane Laing and Timothy Scott Laing, both of Front Royal, John Goodnough of West Virginia, James Goodnough of Michigan and Mark Goodnough of Winchester and three daughters, Robin Yvonne Mitchell and Janet Leigh Saffelle, both of Front Royal and Nancy Hensley of Michigan.
Additional survivors include 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven nieces and five nephews.
