used someplace on southern shores of the Black Sea, lost in the sands of time well before the birth of Christ. My shop is a paean to the nineteenth century. But I also use a computer to send ideas to friends and clients while listening to a CD. I enjoy a few parts of the internet. I have friends that forge parts for space vehicles as that is the only process that is suitable. I am not against the use of technology when applied with sensitivity and awareness.
My family and I live in Rappahannock because of our friends, because of its beauty, because this is our home. That peacefulness and that beauty are now proposed to be violated by a lattice-style, industrial strength tower that Sprint wants to build directly across from our property.
The tower's driveway is proposed to be 120 feet from our driveway; the tower 542 feet from our house. Because of topography this tower will loom 250 feet above our house. There is no place on our property that this will not be seen. Indeed, there is no place in the northern end of the county this monstrosity will NOT be seen. Federal regulations will require lights^)- white if by day and red at night, further impinging upon the night sky and the stars and planets so available here for viewing.
Because of the greed of a few, my family and I are at ground zero for having our lives disrupted, our property devalued.
Mr. Solomon has every right to be proud of the work he and his wife have done to restore 'and beautify the grounds of his building, including rebuilding and repointing the retaining wall. I am sure as the garden matures it will look even better.
