You know fall has arrived when you live on US 211 and can't get out of your driveway for ten minutes. October has arrived not too cold and not too hot, but just right. I hope everyone can get out and enjoy the nice weather.
Revival is in full swing at Amissville Baptist Church. Services are continuing throughout the week with special music and some fantastic sermons. The church is providing nursery and toddler care for children ages birth to four years of age. Service begins at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The annual fall auction at the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department has been canceled due to the lack of donations.
The Amissville Ruritan Club is having a fall raffle. The items to be raffled off are hand quilted double wedding ring quilt 70” x 79", machine quilted Amish square 74" x 76”, machine quilted double wedding ring 90" x 100", gold Majestron pocket watch with chain, and a HomeLite 16" chain saw.
