Pickin' party scheduled
There will be a 4-H pickin' party at Hackley's Country Store in Amissville on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 2-4 p.m. Bring your instrument, singing voice and lawn chair for an afternoon of down home fun. Rappahannock 4-H will be selling raffle tickets for a 50/50 raffle and scarecrows and milk jug skeletons to welcome the fall season. Squanto auditions set
Windmore Foundation for the Arts Children's Theater will hold auditions for Squanto, Saturday, Oct. 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Culpeper County Middle School. Children ages five to 18 are welcome to auditions. Older children should come prepared to read from the scripts. Younger children should demonstrate the ability to sit still and listen to the story being told.
Squanto, directed by Dana Tickle is a retelling of the history and meaning of Thanksgiving. Performance times will be Saturday, Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. For more information call 547-2555.
