• The 4-H Livestock Club is the oldest continuing 4-H club in Rappahannock County. This club meets the third Monday of each month. Volunteer leaders for this club are Randall Updike and Jim Massie.
• The 4-H Performing Arts Club will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 17 after school in the Extension Office. This club focuses on the art of live performances. History has proven the talent of this clubfc They have performed during the 4H Share the Fun Talent Show for four years. Evelyn Oyster is the Volunteer Leader.
• The 4-H Junior Garden Club will meet Tuesday, Oct. 24 after school in the Extension Office. Carolyn Emerick and Sally Havstad are the Volunteer Leaders. This 4-H Club has also been around for a while and is sponsored by the Rappahannock County Garden Club.
• The Amissville 4-H Club is one of the oldest 4-H clubs in Rappahannock County. The club is a community club experiencing many different areas of 4-H on a monthly basis. They will be at the Hackley's Country Store Pickin' Party to participate in the Amissyille Fall Festival on Oct. 14, 2-4 p.m. Jennifer Gray, Volunteer Leader.
• The 4-H Small Animal Club will meet Saturday, Oct. 21, 2 p.m. at the Extension Office for a field trip to Shenandoah National Park to work on the Ranger Badge. Volunteer leaders are Becky Thorpe and Lisa Pendleton.
• The 4-H Tally Ho Horse and Pony Club will meet monthly. This club will be involved in the Amissville Fall Festival on Oct. 14. Kim Nelson and Diana Corbin are the Volunteer Leaders.
The following 4-H clubs have certain criteria for members:
• The 4-H Cloverbud After School Club is in need of an adult volunteer leader. This club is for youth 5-8 years old and offers an introduction to 4-H. The first meeting of the year will be Wednesday, Oct. 18 after school in the Extension Office. We will meet only on Wednesdays unless we find we need another meeting date during the month.
