Here is yet one more reason to be just ' a hair smug about living in Rappahannock County—we bad not one problem in the recent elections. According to Registrar Nancy Newlin, "Everything went smooth here—no problems."
We also turned out in enviable numbers. Rappahannock County had a voter / turnout this year of 3585, or 74.84 per- ' . cent of the registered voters in the County.
In comparison, the Statewide turnout was 67 percent, and nationally the turnout was a mere 51 percent
