girls they really came to play. They just plain beat us." As he reflected on the season, Coach Dayton added, "It was a growing year. The program grew with the beginning of the Junior Lady Panthers (eighth graders) and the other initiatives of the new Athletic Director. The girls grew under the direction of a new coaching staff and an aggressive approach to practice and game participation; and lastly I grew along with my first year assistant coach, Stefanie Shaw. We learned a lot about what it’s going to take to be competitive in this Bull Run District."
Finally, he added, "I was proud of how hard we worked and how hard we played this year. I received a lot of compliments around the league from other coaches and even game officials. To a man they all said, "Rappahannock was a different team this year; more competitive; tougher and definitely harder to beat. The girls earned that and they need to be proud of that and I'm proud of them."
Coach Shaw echoed his comments and said, "I'm really proud to have been with these girls this year. They played hard. Hopefully, we can come back next year and build on that. We have some real talent and we all learned
